Anti Wrinkle Treatments
There are three FDA approved Anti Wrinkle products in the UK, with others currently going through the approval process. These are most commonly used as wrinkle relaxing treatments, although they do have other functions. These products are commonly used to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, including: frown lines, forehead lines, lines around the eyes or crows feet, lines around your mouth sometimes called smokers lines. Advanced treatments include treatments to slim the jaw line, improve neck bands or Nefertiti lift, lift the brows, correct a gummy smile, improve chin dimpling, subtly flip out the upper lip border.

Are Anti Wrinkle Treatments safe?
Anti Wrinkle Treatments are a very safe treatment when performed by a medical professional. The treatment itself uses a prescription-only medically regulated toxin, so it can only be administered by a qualified medical professional such as Independent Nurse Prescriber, Elaine Williams.
Which areas can be treated with Anti Wrinkle products?
Anti Wrinkle Treatments are capable of treating frown lines between the eyebrows, forehead lines, and crow’s feet at the corner of your eyes. It has also been developed into use for a ‘gummy smile’, stopping the smile muscles from pulling the upper lip too far up your gum line, and for relaxing the muscles in the neck to produce a slimming effect. This is known as the Nefertiti lift.
Are there any side effects?
There are some side effects associated with Anti Wrinkle Treatments, but they are normal and should recede after a few days. You may experience some bruising, redness, and itchiness at the injection sites, as well as some flu-like symptoms such as headaches, fatigue and dizziness.
Most people find they can return to work without any downtime, and these side effects should subside within 2-3 days post-treatment.
What will the treatment involve?
The length of time it takes to undertake the treatment will be related to the areas being treated. The required amount of product will be injected into the treatment area, and is directly related to your treatment goals.
What is the downtime?
There is no downtime required; it is an extremely safe treatment and doesn’t need any recovery period. There are some potential side effects and these will be discussed with you during the consultation, prior to signing your consent
When will I see results?
The effects of the treatment take approximately 2-3 days to start and the results visible around 10 – 14 days post treatment. You will come back into clinic to review your results and this will include taking more photographs.
How long will my results last?
The duration of results varies between individuals, but you can typically expect your results to last for 3-4 months. After this time, you will require another treatment if you wish to maintain them.
Who can have this treatment?
This treatment is licensed for adults aged between 18 – 65. It is used off-license for those over 65 years. At EOS Aesthetics we are unlikely to treat anyone under 25 years for Anti Wrinkle Treatments. You are suitable for treatments if you are experiencing fine lines and wrinkles in expressive areas of your face, regardless of your age. This treatment is suitable for anyone seeking to smooth these lines, and it can be used to prevent fine lines from developing as well as treating those that are already present.
