Dermal fillers

At EOS Aesthetics, we use hyaluronic acid filler to restore balance, volume, and create contours in the face neck and hands. Hyaluronic acid which is a naturally occurring substance, creating subtle volume and beautiful results, whilst hydrating your skin at the same time. We use high quality, evidence- based products including Teosyal, Juvederm, Belotero and Aliaxin.

Dermal fillers can be used to enhance the lips, treat hollows and dark circles under the eyes, and delicately rebalance your facial profile. Dermal fillers can add volume to your cheeks, temples and nose to mouth lines or folds.

Frequently asked questions

Are dermal fillers safe?

Dermal fillers are safe for use within the skin and body because they contain hyaluronic acid, a natural skin compound. This means your skin will accept them after some minor side effects. They are at their safest when performed by qualified medical professionals, such as Independent Nurse Prescriber like Elaine Williams.

Which areas can be treated dermal fillers treat?

Dermal fillers are used to create volume, structure, and contour in areas of the face. Lip fillers are popular for defining the lips, and cheek fillers for accentuating the cheekbone or replacing lost volume. They can also be used to add structure to the jawline and chin in order to add dimension to your facial profile. For those seeking subtle rejuvenation, they can be placed in areas around the mouth and cheeks to treat sagging skin and volume loss due to the ageing process.

Do dermal fillers hurt?

A topical numbing cream maybe applied before your treatment to minimise any discomfort felt. You may still feel a pinch once we begin injecting, but this is likened to discomfort rather than pain.

What is the downtime?

There is no downtime required; it is a safe treatment and doesn’t need any recovery period. There are some potential side effects and risks, these will be discussed with you during the consultation, prior to signing your consent

What will the treatment involve?

This will depend on the treatment, we don’t as a rule use topical aneasthetic apart from lip treatments however, this will be agreed in advance of your treatment. The products we use have lidocaine in them, ensuring your comfort during the treatment. If you are prone to bruising you may want to include Bruise MD ™ to your post treatment home care, and take arnica prior to your appointment.

If you are having your lips treated and suffer from cold sores, we may need to prescribe you an anti-viral medication to take prior to treatment.

We use both cannula and needles for the treatment, as appropriate and aim to make the experience as comfortable as possible for you.

When will I see results?

You will be able to see the results immediately, however, it can take a couple of weeks for any swelling to settle

How long will my results last?

Results will vary between individuals depending on how each individual processes the filler, but you could enjoy your results for 6-12 months, after which time you will require another treatment to maintain them.

Are dermal fillers permanent?

No, dermal fillers are not permanent. Because they use the naturally occurring skin compound hyaluronic acid, they are broken down by your body over time just like your natural reserves of HA are.

How much will it cost?

Prices start at £250 and total price will be agreed prior to starting any treatment. Click to book.
